Acton is a short run for us from Holliston, up through the MetroWest towns to where Route 2 and Route 27 cross. What makes Acton different from most towns we serve is that it never had one center. It grew around several village hubs: West Acton with its small business row, South Acton near the commuter rail, and Acton Center on the common. Great Road, which is Route 2A, ties much of it together. That history shows up in the housing. You get older Capes tucked near the village centers and long stretches of 1970s and 80s Colonials in the subdivisions between them. We work all of it, and we plan each project around how that particular part of Acton was built and how families actually use these homes today.

Acton's housing mixes 1970s and 80s Colonials in subdivisions off Main Street and Great Road, older Capes near the town center, and newer construction. Each type asks for a different approach. The Colonials tend to have closed-off kitchens and dated primary baths that families want opened up and modernized. The older Capes near Acton Center reward careful trim work and layouts that respect the original bones. Kitchen openings, mudroom additions, and primary bath remodels lead our Acton work, and that fits a town where commuters need a clean drop zone by the door and a kitchen that handles a busy weeknight.
